Patisseries Offer Free Macarons
Mark this date on your calendar! Tuesday March,20th patisseries in various cities around the world will be giving out FREE Macarons. Can you say mmmmmm? Traditionally in France, March 20 is known as “le Jour du Macaron” (Macaron Day). Initiated by famous pastry chef Pierre Hermé, it is now celebrated worldwide and it finally touches down in Canada.
Jour du Macaron is a fundraiser to support Red Door Family Shelter. Patisseries across Toronto will be donating 25% of the proceeds from sales of Macarons that day to the Red Door Family Shelter, While patisseries in Vancouver, BC will each be supporting different charities of their choice.
